Bihar Jeevika Typing Test: Rules, Mangal Font, and KDPH


The Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), commonly known as Jeevika, conducts a computer-based typing skill test for various administrative roles.

The typing test is qualifying in nature. Here is a detailed breakdown of the rules and speed requirements.


1. Speed Requirements

  • English Typing: Minimum 30 Words Per Minute (WPM).
  • Hindi Typing: Minimum 25 Words Per Minute (WPM).
  • Test Duration: Typically 10 minutes.

2. Keyboard Layout and Font Specifications

  • Hindi Font: Mangal Font is mandatory.
  • Hindi Layout: Candidates are provided with the Remington Gail keyboard layout.
  • English Layout: Standard QWERTY layout.

3. Backspace and Interface Rules

  • Backspace: Backspace is enabled and can be used to correct typographical errors.
  • Evaluation: Your Net Speed will be calculated after deducting penalties for spelling errors, missing words, and punctuation mistakes.
