BSF ASI & HC Ministerial Typing Test: Speed and Formatting Rules

The Border Security Force (BSF) conducts typing tests for ASI (Steno) and Head Constable (Ministerial) roles.

1. Speed Requirements

  • English Typing: A minimum speed of 35 Words Per Minute (WPM) (10,500 KDPH).
  • Hindi Typing: A minimum speed of 30 Words Per Minute (WPM) (9,000 KDPH).
  • Duration: 10 Minutes.

2. Keyboard and Software Details

  • Language: English or Hindi.
  • Hindi Layout: Mangal Font with the Remington Gail layout is standard.

3. Test Interface and Rules

  • Backspace: Backspace is allowed.
  • Printed Sheet: You may have to type from a printed paper passage.
